Talented playwright Sharof Boshbekov was born in Samarkand in 1951. Sharof Boshbekov entered the sacred realm of literature in the early 80s. Initially, he tested his talent in the short story genre.
Sharof Boshbekov's stories such as "G varianti" (1981), "G'urur" (1982), and "Jumboq" (1986) were produced. Following this, he created stage works on diverse themes.
Sharof Boshbekov wrote comedies such as "Tushov uzgan tulporlar" (1983) and "Eshik qoqqan kim?" (1987), as well as the screenplay for the short film "Temir xotin" (1989) and "Qasosli dunyo." He also created a serious comedy titled "Eski shahar gavroshlari" (1998). Most recently, his drama "Taqdir eshigi" has appeared. His play "Temir xotin" in particular brought the author great fame. In it, the serious changes occurring in human consciousness, worldview, and psychology during the era of scientific and technical development are generalized in a satirical manner. A film was also created based on this work by the author (1990). He also participated in writing the screenplays for films such as "Sharif va Ma'ruf," "Yuzsiz" (1993), and "Tilla bola" (1994).
He worked as a director while writing the screenplays for the films "Masxaraboz" (1996) and "Farhod va Shirin." He also created a 60-part video series titled "Charxpalak."
He also wrote stage works such as "Tentak farishtalar" (1995) and "Zo'rdan zo'r chiqsa" (1996). His work "Temir xotin" was deemed worthy of the annual M. Shayxzoda Prize of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan in 1989. In 1990, he was awarded the Hamza State Prize of the Republic. He has been awarded the "Mehnat shuhrati" order.
